Crayon Drawing quilt is done

We started this quilt back in October, but it got finished yesterday (at about 12:30 a.m.). I'm so happy that I made my deadline. This quilt was made for the teacher in our classroom. It's his first year of teaching and it's been a doozy of a year. Our class is a high school special education classroom and I wanted to commemorate his first year of teaching.
The students (with help from some of the assistants) made blocks by using color crayons and I made it into a quilt. It was presented yesterday at lunch, and today was the last day of school. And you know what? He liked it!

I have been quilting

I can only show you some of what I've been doing, though, because I gave away 2 quilts without remembering to take photos. I made 2 bags (but I'm showing you the front & back) and a quilt for one of the seniors at my school. I love my bags and he loves his quilt. :o)

And the rest of the art show...

Would you like to see my daughter's art show?

Here are her pieces of art. Next, I will show you some of her show partner's artwork. It was their senior show. Not all pieces were her favorites. The teachers chose what was to be shown. If nothing else, they are interesting. :o)

It makes it harder for the aliens to snatch you from your car.

A quote I saw...

Is life always so busy?

Worked all day, picked up the grandkids from daycare, went to Target and bought some laundry baskets, stopped at the carousel for a couple of rides and came home in time to talk to Rick on the phone (he's working out of town). I left the house at 7:00am and didn't get back until 6:30pm. Sheesh! Are my feet tired! Mind you, they are tired and only in stocking feet because one of the kids accidently knocked the bowl of spaghetti out of my hands and it splatted sauce all over my white shoes. Of course, I had to wash them before they stained too badly. They will be fine, but they are my favorite shoes, so I get to wear something less comfortable to work tomorrow. :o(
Got to read a bedtime story all the way to the end, and even though I was yawning, I didn't fall asleep. :o)
Now, it's time to start a load of laundry, go to bed and start the whole routine over again tomorrow. Sweet dream to all of you. May you have a wonderful May.

P.S.-I ordered a new camera. Yay!
